Light of my Life

As Stained Glass light you are to me,

And though your face I shall not see,

My memories glow with love for you

in warm and brightening loving hue.

For when my mind feels drab and drear,

One thought of you brings joy so clear,

It is as if you are with me

And I with you, as it should be.

As light through stained glass blossoms pure,

You were to me a wondrous sight :

To every curse a blissful cure

To banish darkness, erase night.

A sudden glow to cheer my day,

You shone so fierce through leaden pains,

My eyes were drawn each, every way

Towards your light, where beauty reigns.

There is a seal over my heart,

Of purest glass blown by my soul,

And with these words, I hope I’ve shown,

There was a time you made me whole.
