In The Bleak Midwinter

In the Bleak Midwinter, Anxious folks take heart,

To celebrate this last month, after nervous start;

After battling stress and Stress, stress on stress,

In the Bleak Midwinter, family time we bless.

We, like weary travelers, lay our burdens down,

Whether in the country, suburb or the town;

In the Bleak Midwinter, respite feels so pure,

Peace and gentle quiet, for us have true allure.

Though our minds are troubled, on a different plane,

We give thanks to those who, soothe us from our pain;

Though we may not show it, you are our heart fire,

Being by and with you, we shall never tire.

So this Christmas season, we give praise to you,

For each loving kindness, everything you do;

At this time of thankfulness, we cherish being yours,

And shall relish every moment, of this festive pause.
